Muhudu Maha Viharaya

Steeped in over 2000 years of history, Muhudu Maha Viharaya, is believed to be the place where Princess Devi, the legendary mother of King Dutugemunu, is said to have landed at the kingdom of Ruhunu, ending her journey from the Kelaniya kingdom. (Pictured here are vows and offerings paid by visitors to the temple.)
